A new trailer has been released by Bethesda showing new DLC for Fallout 4. Titled, Automatron, the DLC will revolve around the player chasing down the character called the Mechanist who has unleashed an army of robots on the Commonwealth.
The player will be able to fight hordes of diverse robots and harvest their components to build their own robot companions. From what the trailer shows there will be a mechanized styled work bench allowing for robot companions to be constructed with varying components. Some being shown to have some fierce ranged and melee weapons.
Bethesda says players can, “Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armour, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices.” As if Assualtrons weren’t cool enough with their laser beams now you can have one as a companion.
Automatron is the first DLC instalment for Fallout 4 and will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One from March 22 with the price tag of $9.99 USD ($14.95 AUD). Future DLC including Wasteland Work and Far Harbour are expected to release later this year in May and April. Bethesda has also said they will be having closed Beta on PC and consoles for future content.
The season pass for all the DLC content has had its price increased since March 1 from $29.99 USD to $49.99 USD ($67 AUD). However if players purchased the season pass when it was priced at $29.99 USD they will still receive all the intended content with no additional cost.
